LG G3 Almost Certain To Come with Quad HD display

There was a time when people thought that LG's days in smartphone business are numbered. However, in the last couple of years, this Korean smartphone maker has made a strong comeback.

In the past few days, we have not heard much about the LG G3 but it seems like this is about to change. Ubergizmo, through its reliable source, has managed to get an image of the said device.

This picture is actually an AnTuTu benchmark image, which points out that the GPU in LG G3 is a Qualcomm Adreno 330, making the site to deduce that the SoC for this smartphone should be Snapdragon 801.

Furthermore, the image also reveals that this smartphone will have a screen resolution of 2560x1440 screen and a 640 DPI pixel density. Engadget and Ubergizmo had reached out to LG had now have confirmed news that the successor to LG G2 will have a Quad HD display.

It is noteworthy that the earlier rumours for Samsung Galaxy S5 too have suggested that this smartphone will come with a QHD display.

Earlier reports regarding LG G3 suggest that the smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch screen. However, these reports claimed that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor clocking in at 2.3GHz.

This reports goes on to claim that the LG G3 will come with 32GB of on-board storage, which can be spruced up further by up to 64GB via microSD card. The smartphone will run on Android KitKat (4.4.2). Coming over to the camera, it is said that the LG G3 will pack in 2 MP front-facing and a 13MP one on its rear.

This certainly looks to be an interesting smartphone and we would definitely like to have a look at the QHD display whenever it is available. As per certain new reports, the LG G3 will be making its debut in May so guess we may not have to wait much to get to experience this smartphone.
