Rabindranath Tagore remains one of those people who brought the concept of modern Indian on the world stage. Without doubt, even in today's world he continues to inspire youngsters who want to take up any form of art.
And now, most of the work by this poet is available for users of Android mobile operating system, courtesy the Society for Natural Language Technology Research. This information was revealed in a PTI report.
The Society for Natural Language Technology Research (SNLTR), which was set up on the poet's 155-birth anniversary on May 9 under the West Bengal government's Information Technology Department in 2007, has inaugurated the services on an app for Android users.
According to the news agency, the app will connect users to the corresponding websitehttp://www.nltr.org/ on which the SNLTR has digitized the entire literary works of Tagore who single-handedly brought about a renaissance in Bengali literature and music.
"This will help more and more people to read Tagore. To be precise, we expect this App to help the young generation to know more about Kabiguru and his works," a senior official of SNLTR told PTI.
He further added, the task to develop the app took almost three years to be completed by a team of experts including an IIT professor, one from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI).
