Karbonn Launches 3 Smartphones In India Including Hexa-core Titanium Hexa
Karbonn Mobiles has introduced three new smartphones in the domestic market today. All three come with MediaTek chipset and are named Titanium Hexa, Titanium Octane and Titanium Octane Plus.
The Karbonn Titanium Hexa is the first smartphone to come with MT6591 hexa-core processor (1.5 GHz). Under the hood, it has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32 GB. There is a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera on board.
The Karbonn Titanium Hexa has a 5.5-inch (1920x1080 pixel), low-temperature polysilicon type display that comes with a scratch-resistant and oleophobic coating. The smartphone has a 2,050 mAh battery and is priced at Rs 16,990.
The Karbonn Titanium Octane features a 5-inch (1280x720 pixels) display. The smartphone packs in a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU. It also has 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The Karbonn Titanium Octane comes with a price tag of Rs 14,990 and offers a 2,000mAh battery. This one also sports a 13 MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front camera.
The last one of the lot is the Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus that comes with a 5-inch (1920x1080 pixels) full HD IPS display. This one, too, is powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, but it has 2 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by a microSD card to up to 32 GB.
This smartphone has a 16 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera, and is priced at Rs 17,990. Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus also has a 2000 mAh battery.
All three devices will offer Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box and according to a Press release, will be available in the domestic market from the last week of April. However, when Gizmodo India asked, Karbonn's product manager, about the availability of Karbonn Titanium Hexa, he said that the device would hit the retail shelf by the first week of April.
