HTC Desire 316 and Desire 516 Smartphones Leaked Online
A day minus tech leaks seems such an impossible thing in today's era. So what do we have today are couple of quad-core smartphones from HTC - Desire 516 and Desire 316
PhoneArena via Xdkb.net claims that the HTC Desire 516 and Desire 316 are similar in design as well as most of their features. Both these smartpohones look to be mid-range devices. Coming to specifications, both HTC Desire 516 and Desire 316 come with a 5-inch qHD (540 x 960) display, runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2 , and offers a 5MP rear camera.
The only major seems to be that HTC Desire 516 will support Dual SIM capabilities while the Desire 316 is a single SIM device.
Another report on PhoneArena itself claims that HTC Desire 516 too will come in two variants - Desire 516t and Desire 516w. The report also goes on to state that the HTC Desire 516t will have the same specifications as mentioned above, while the HTC Desire 516w will be powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 1GB of RAM. HTC Desire 516w is expected to offer Android 4.3 Jelly Bean straight out of the box.
However, as of now these smartphones seem to be headed to the China market and there seems to be no word in regards to their availability in other parts of the world.
Earlier in the year HTC had made it clear that it will be aggressively eyeing the low-end and mid-range smartphone segment. It is evident from the recent leaks that this Taiwanese company is pretty focussed on its intent. Recently the company also started taking pre-orders of HTC Desire 816 in China. [PhoneArena]
